Please read the BATTERY 3 manual for more information. Each cell offers a complete set of sound parameters and can use up to 128 velocity-switchable sample layers. Battery can load up to 54 drum, percussion and sound samples into its 'cells' in the 'matrix' section. You may also use the Latch function in combination with cymbal / crash sounds in order to 'choke' the end of the sample. Battery offers studio musicians and programmers an awesome digital percussion software-sampler. Note: Each of the AHDSR parameters will have an impact on the way the loop is played / retriggered. Note that in order to play / stop the loop effectively, you need to set the Release knob of the AHDSR Envelope curve to its minimum value (slightly raise it above the minimum value if you notice 'clicks' when stopping the loop). Pressing the note again will retrigger the loop from the beginning, so the MIDI note is acting in this case like a play / stop toggle. At the intersection of each row and column is a Cell, which represents a particular drum (or other sound some people use BATTERY 3 to play back sound effects or even bass lines). The Drum/Sample Matrix consists of a number of rows and columns. When the Latch option and the Volume Envelope module are both active, you will be able to trigger the loop by pressing a MIDI note defined within the sample's Key Range, and stop the playback immediately as soon as you press the same note again. This shows a 16x8 drum/sample matrix the maximum number of cells possible in BATTERY 3. Go back to the Cell tab and make sure that the Volume Envelope module is active (power button is on) and that the AHDSR envelope curve has been selected.Go to the Setup tab and activate Latch under Note.In the example below, we have set only one loop ( 1) to a portion of the entire sample. Then set the loop at the desired length of the sample by dragging its borders. Go to the Loop tab and enable a loop by clicking on the power button.BATTERY 3s flexible nature ensures the perfect setup for any. Load a loop into an empty BATTERY Cell. Step through all your drums of a particular type and pre-listen samples within the current kit.Follow the instructions below to configure BATTERY 3 to control the playback of an audio loop: This can be achieved using the Latch funcion. When working with long loops or samples it is sometimes useful to stop the playback of the loop with the same MIDI note. BATTERY 3 Cells can be triggered using any available MIDI note.
